Glorious and Free

A Trans-Canada Brewery Collaboration

Glorious and Free is a Trans-Canada brewery collaboration project conceived and launched by Ottawa’s Dominion City Brewing Co. in partnership with beer makers from coast to coast to coast.

This initiative invites Canadians to support local breweries, which in turn support local producers—strengthening our communities and enriching Canada’s social fabric.  

Each participating brewery will craft its own version of the Glorious & Free IPA, using 100% Canadian-sourced ingredients.

A portion of the net proceeds from every beer sold will be donated to a local, provincial, or national not-for-profit or charitable organization that broadly supports at least one of the following four core causes:

1. Connection to Land and People - Organizations that support connections between people and/or our history and the traditions of those who came before us. (Examples include Indigenous organizations, veterans organizations and arts groups)

2. Welcoming Communities - Organizations that contribute to a community where everyone belongs (Examples include causes supporting your local foodbank, 2SLGBTQ+ Canadians, refugee welcome, industry diversity and inclusion)

3. Getting Together - Organizations that invest in shared experiences to strengthen our social fabric. (Examples include third places, cultural outlets, music and sport)

4. For Generations - Organizations that support the creativity and ambition of those contributing to our country’s future. (Organizations promoting entrepreneurialism and decent work)

Our donation will go towards our April/May Bee Kind Partner, Waterloo Region Nature.
